QS Engineer

Job Description

• Directly calculate and control costs of the company’s construction projects;

• Review qualifications and legal documents of design consultant partners and related contractors;

• Manage contracts and negotiate terms with partners and contractors;

• Plan and monitor budgets for projects;

• Check and supervise actual costs against estimates;

• Ensure compliance with construction standards and regulations;

• Calculate construction unit prices as a basis for the sales department to set selling prices of the company’s products;

• Perform tasks as directed by the management board.

Candidate Requirements

Education:

• University degree in Construction Economics / Civil Engineering or other related fields.

Experience:

• At least 3 years of professional experience in construction economics, preparing documents, and cost estimation in construction companies.

• Solid knowledge of construction techniques and regulations:

  • Understanding of regulations, decrees, circulars, and laws related to construction;

  • Familiarity with technical standards of construction materials and installation equipment.

Required Skills:

• Analyze, summarize, and prepare cost estimates;

• Quantity takeoff in construction projects;

• Manage construction costs;

• Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, CostX, etc.);

• Good communication and negotiation skills.

Personal Qualities:

• Honest and meticulous: Ensure high accuracy in cost estimation reports;

• Responsible: Ensure timely and quality completion of tasks;

• Good English communication skills is an advantage.
